The 2023 Oakland Running Festival will be held on Sunday, March 19th. Mike Pompa KB6MP is coordinating amateur radio support for the tenth year and is looking for volunteer operators. Additional precautions will be taken to reduce the risk of spreading Covid, flu and RSV.
The assignments are: Course Marshals, Net Control, Scribe, SAG (Support and Gear) Vehicle (driving your own vehicle), Bicycle Mobile, Motorcycle Mobile, and Race Director Shadow.
This public service event has plenty of documentation for new hams as well as a wide variety of assignments for veteran operators. Some assignments have flexible start/stop times. Just let Mike know what your prior experience is and what kind of commitment you can make.
